Yoga
Path of Light

By Tony and Teodor Nenov

YOGA

PATH OF LIGHT

... sheds light both on Yoga philosophy and practice. Providing a deep understanding of Sankhya Yoga, the book sets up the infrastructure and the philosophical foundation for the practices of Yoga. Based on that foundation, the eight limbs of Yoga, as described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, are examined in great detail. In the asana section, the fundamentals of breath and sequential movement (vinyasa) are explained in an intelligible and yet profound way. Practical suggestions and memorable photography aim to provide experiential insight into the “feel” and “taste” of physical lightness and mental brightness. The book intends to inspire the reader’s intelligence and imagination, and to open his or her heart into the direct experience of Yoga.

Practice of Light

The second part deals with classical Yoga, as described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The eight limbs of Yoga are examined here in great detail.

Quotes

Either you believe whatever you want to believe about Yoga and yourself, or you dive with your whole heart into the ancient teachings of Yoga and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.“

Tony Nenov

is a Yoga teacher from Eastern Europe. In 1990 he moved to New York City where he practiced various styles of Yoga for 10 years. He went on to further his studies in India with A.G. Mohan – a chief disciple of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. Through 30 years of experience, he teaches a unique blend of techniques that authentically present the ancient science of Yoga. He believes Yoga is a process leading to personal integration in all aspects of life.

Teodor Nenov

has been practicing Yoga since he was 16 years old. He learned the ancient Yoga techniques from his father. His life has been fundamentally influenced by the teachings of Yoga. His yogic path carried him through various Yoga schools in the U.S., Europe, and India. Despite his great interest in Yoga philosophy, he carries the most dynamic Yoga style in his heart, namely Vinyasa Ashtanga Yoga, on which he is regularly giving classes, workshops, and retreats.
